Charity Consortium Recognizes Excellent Individuals

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (2015) -  Charity gives back to Charity in an impressive black-tie Recognition Night. Sophia Consortium, a charity organization which aims to help disadvantaged migrant workers and individuals in the United Kingdom recently held its first Recognition and Awards Night last 11th July 2015 at the spectacular Grand Connaught Ball Room in Central London.

Recognizing the public service efforts, selfless achievements and continuous assistance to those who are in need and for constantly uplifting the image of the Filipinos worldwide, Sophia Consortium hand-picked a selection of individuals from a pool of nominees and gave them due recognition in an extravagant dinner event. The event was hosted by no other than Filipino –Norwegian Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 finalist Markki Stroem.

The awardees and guests were further entertained by British boy band “The Mend” who finished eighth overall in the 2012 season of Britain’s Got Talent and by a heart-stopping dance by Spencer Reyes and Michael Seismundo. Filipina Kim Mercado likewise rendered a superb song number. A unique and visually appeal Art Exhibit was also made available by London-based artist Renante Toca.

Dr. Paul Salazar, Director and CEO of Sophia Consortium thanked everybody for the excellent community and public service that the awardees have given to the community and in return, the consortium would like to recognize their efforts in its own special way.

Prior to the actual awards ceremony, five distinguished Fashion Designers paraded their works through a thirty-three strong model line-up. Their fashion statements were simple yet classy, trendy and fashionable.

The recognition culminated to a fabulous long night of disco dancing with the awardees and guests.
