45 Minutes with Krizia Daya : Nurse Blogger from the Big Apple

The blogosphere has evolved, and now people blog for many different reasons. We caught up with one Filipino nurse from the US who blogs passionately about food.

Her name is Krizia Daya. She grew up in Queens, moved to upstate New York, went to the University of the Philippines (Manila) for college, and then came back to the Big Apple a few months back.

Half the week, she works as a charge nurse, and the other half, she is a food adventurer. She loves food, fashion, photography, Star Wars, and hanging out with good people.

Anyway, her blogs tells the tale at www.kriziadaya.com

1. You obviously have good photography skills. Was it something you studied before or something you picked up as you started blogging.

My photography skills are nowhere near even the avid amateur's. I started by borrowing my friend's Nikon d300s maybe a year ago and went from there. The blog came about organically, as it's about something I already do and enjoy.

2. Which part of blogging excites you most: the post writing or the photography?

The eating and going out excites me the most. I like writing and I like photography and I like posing for photos. All equally.

3. What do you think food blogging will look in 5 years? Will it still be around?

I think food blogging in five years will just grow as technology grows. There's already boomerang for cute shots. Maybe some interactive stuff as it becomes more user friendly. And as long as people enjoy food, and like to take dates to restaurants, food blogging will be around.
