The Clinical Coordinator at the Nursing Department of St. Anthony's College in Antique attended the recently concluded 11th World Congress on Adolescent Health held in New Delhi, India last 26-29 October 2017.
Mr. Aris Kendell Bungabong received a scholarship from International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH) which enabled him to participate in the said event.
"I am very privileged to be selected as one of youth scholars to attend the congress. The World Congress on Adolescent Health was a venue for networking with global public health practitioners and learn from global case studies and successful interventions in adolescent health programs and policies." according to Mr. Bungabong.
Aside from holding active membership with the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society, Mr. Bungabong is currently its education consultant.
About the IAAH
Since 1987, the IAAH has organized a World Congress on Adolescent Health every four years. The World Congress is being organized under the supportive leadership of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA) is the lead organization that is hosting the World Congress. Around 1,200 delegates from 65 countries across the world participated in the conference.
